Stud On Campus

Anyone know this guy?

Yeah, he appeared on So You Think You Can Dance, and even broke Shane Sparks into tears....

He has scoliosis, but that didn't stop him from breaking out an unbelievable routine on one of the show's auditions.

Wanna know something kinda cool?

I walked with him to class today. He goes to my school. Apparently, he is a freaking celebrity on campus, because while I was walking beside him, everyone said something to him. I said the casual "Sup" because I didn't remember who he was. Then he got a little bit in front of me, and with his headphones on, did a little dance move with his arms. I knew I had seen him somewhere.

Oh yeah...that's right. National TV.

Funniest Song Ever

I heard this song today on Facebook. It is by far one of the funniest songs I've ever heard.

http://www.guitarmann.com/Music/Lust_Song.mp3

Please, if you have a minute or two, I swear to you this will be worth your time.

J.R. Lee....I don't know if you read this blog, but you need to do this song at Freedom Church.

My Day

Wanna make a guess as to what this post is about...?

My day started kind of odd. I walked into KSU 1101, and sat down. The teacher walked in a few minutes later. He started talking, and in mid sentence, stopped and said,"Hey...who's the 1990 kid?"

Obviously, that's me. I'm the only kid he's ever had born in the 90s.

When I raised my hand, all he said was "Oh...yeah. We talked about you this weekend."

Then he went right back to teaching....I felt odd for the rest of the class.

I also ran today. I'm not a fan of running for fun. I think it's stupid. J.R., Todd, and Mark love it. Chris Vaughn is incredible at it. I'm not bad, but I just don't get it.

Then I went to Devin's house, where this super sexy tasty meal was waiting. Taco ring, chicken thing, and rice bling(I felt like I should have kept the rhyme going) was yummy in my tummy.

I can't believe I just wrote yummy in my tummy and I'm not going to delete it.

Now, I'm back in the dormitory, about to do my homework.

Yippeee for college

Second Day of Classes

Yesterday, I went to my second day of classes. I didn't have a class until 11, so that was definitely a plus.

Social Issues: Perspectives in Geography 2105 was the name of my first class. It's basically a giant name for Geography.

It was kinda cool/pretty boring. I guess the only cool thing about it was the classroom setting. It was in one of those auditoriums that you see in the movies. We only had about 110 people in there, so it wasn't a giant theater, but it wasn't a little high school room. The professor teaches from this giant open area in the floor, and we sit in these big comfortable chairs with itty bitty desks attached to them. Her desk is about 100 feet away, and the projection screen that she teaches off of is about as big as a movie theater screen. So, that's kinda cool. The class though....boring.

She just talked and talked and talked. I dozed off and dozed off and dozed off.

The coolest thing about this class: It's a 10 week class. That means it will be over in early November. So after the first week of November, I won't have to wake up until close to noon.

My second class was English Composition 1101. We were in a small computer lab. The same people that were in my KSU 1101 class were in this class. It's going to be a lot of writing. A LOT.

Then I had about an hour and a half break between classes. I went back to my room, got some food, and watched the Cubs game. I had to leave at about 3:15 in order to get to my last class.

My last class was Social Issues:Perspectives in Anthropology 2105. Long name for Anthropology, which by the way, is the study of people. I like that. There is about 75 people in this class. The class is really looonnng.......like from the front to the back. There's only about 5 rows of desks, but there's about 20 desks in each row. It sounds interesting, but yesterday was crazy boring. I just drew pictures on my syllabus, like the Chicago Cubs logo, and T-I-G-E-R-S...TIGERS!....haha.

That is also a ten week class that ends with an exam on November 1st. Guess what? The exam is OPTIONAL. I don't have to take it. Cool, huh?

So after November 1st, I will only have one class on Tuesdays and Thursdays!! Freaking sweet!

Well, Cubs game is on. Time to go watch them whoop up on the St. Louis Cardinals and catch the Brewers in the NL Central.

GO CUBS!

Long Night

Well, it's almost 5 in the morning, and I'm just now getting back in my room.

I watched Elf in the R.A.'s room until about 3, and then went into some girls room and played this game called Apples to Apples. If you have never heard of it, it is a lot of fun.

I will write about my classes tomorrow.

As of now, it's time to go to bed!!

First Day of Classes

Today, I woke up at 8:30 and got ready for class. I had KSU 1101, a freshman seminar that teaches you about college in general, at 9:30. My class was cool! My teacher was only 26! I was expecting Colonel Sanders! He was telling us about how we can do whatever we want in there....bring our computers, get on the internet, leave if we want, or don't come at all. It's such a change from high school. He also said that next week, we will take a tour of campus as one of our classes, and then the next class, he wants to take us to a ropes course!

Next, I had Mathematical Modeling. Boo....

It sucked. It made everyone want to fall asleep. Actually, it didn't make people want to. It just made them do it. We were doing exponents and division.

Seriously?

So, I will definitely be hating that class.

Tomorrow, I have English Composition 1101, Anthropology 2105, and Geography(I don't know the number). Classes don't start until 11!

From what I hear, Geography should have about 300 students in it! We are supposed to be in one of those auditorium style classes that you see in the movies! I'm not gonna lie....I hope I don't get disappointed!

Soccer Spray

Tonight, I went to my first college sport game as a student.

Well, it was only an exhibition for the girls soccer team against Clayton State, but hey, a lot of people were there. Kennesaw won 1-0, and Sam and I sat in the "Striped Crew", or the student section. I even joined in on a couple of the chants.

After, the game I had to go to the bathroom. I went in the bathroom, and walked up to one of the urinals, when I noticed this spray beside it. The spray read:

"This spray kills HIV(the AIDS virus) and/or all versions of the herpes virus from objects or surfaces that have been contaminated or soiled by blood or bodily fluids".

Needless to say, I hurried myself out of that bathroom.

Just Like A Movie

Well, after a whole bunch of bullcrap happened again this afternoon, I finally got moved in to my dorm. I met my roommate, Sam. He is freaking awesome!....The other two I don't really know. One is named Abdul, and the other is Wiisam, pronounced WE-SAM. They are both from Lebanon. They will randomly pop in the room, do something, and then leave.

Anyways, my room freaking rocks.

So, yeah. I hung out in this living room style room in a different building because my building was boring. Sam and I just kinda chilled and talked to people as they walked by. Eventually, people started to join. Pretty soon, we had started a viewing party with about 15 people to watch the season premiere of "The Hills". I don't watch that show, but I do know that just about every girl on that show is hot.

Now, I'm sitting in my R.A.'s room, playing Guitar Hero(it's what college kids do), and eating candy.

Earlier, we walked out into the courtyard and people were just chilling and playing guitar and hanging out, having fun. It was cool.

It was just like a movie.

Jacked Up

I'm standing in line about to get my keys for my brand new dorm today, when they lady says to me,"Have you made your first payment?"

....um.....I think?....

Long story short, I have to get in a couple different lines, only for me to find out that my loan that's paying for my room hasn't went through, so I have to pay for my first payment out of pocket. Well, coincidentally, I just so happen to have enough money for that. The only problem is I have to wait for my balance to be updated on my checking account before I can pay for my room.

That won't happen until tomorrow.

So, I guess I'm chilling at the Regan's again tonight.

No offense at all Mrs. Teri, but I REALLY hope I move in tomorrow.

I did see Rush Hour 3 tonight though.

Chris Tucker is hilarious.

A Special Invite

I was checking my email the other day, when I received an email about one of the blogs I had written in the past. Someone had stumbled across this blog, read it, and was pleased with my writing skills. He invited me to write for a sports website called ArmChairGM. The creator said that everyday, thousands of people read this website, so if I start posting on it, people will start reading it, and I could get a fan base. I wrote one today. Check it out here!

Kinda cool, huh?

It's Official

I'm leaving for school on Sunday morning.

Most people ask me if I'm nervous, or if I'm ready.

The answer to that varies.

Sometimes I'm scared out of my mind when I think about doing this. I'm afraid that I won't have that much fun because I'll miss all of my friends. I'm afraid that I won't have fun because I'll miss being in Tipton County.....

WOW! I don't think I've ever thought that.I can't believe I might miss living in Tipton County. It could happen though. I've lived here basically my whole life. Who knows??

I'm also afraid that I would have enjoyed another school better. I'm a die hard Memphis Tigers fan, and I kinda wish I was going there. My dream school would be Syracuse University. Gahlee MAN!!

On the other hand, I'm super freaking excited to be living in my own brand new room, not having to wake up every morning at 6:30, and for lack of a better word, doing just about whatever I want to do. Not that I'm going to do anything bad, it's just the fact that I'm basically free to do whatever!

So I guess when you combine the feelings together, you get nervcitement..? Excervous? Anxcercitement?

I guess I know that these could be the greatest, and overall, most important years of my life, and I just don't want to blow it like I did in high school. I wasted 4 years of my life in high school, and I'm afraid that now I'll be pumped to head to school, but when I get there, it will be just like high school.

Either way, I'm still pissed at Kennesaw for not having a football team or a soccer team.....

A Special Biscuit

If you have never been to BoJangles and eaten there BoBerry biscuits, you haven't lived yet.

Well, I headed to BoJangles today to get some of my favorite biscuits. I was already on my 2nd or 3rd biscuit, when I looked at the bottom of my biscuit in my hand. I saw something that nobody ever wants to see, especially in their food.

A hair?

Nope...

A fly?

Nope...

A quarter?

I wish...

Look at these pictures of my mystery biscuit...

A FREAKING SPIDER!!!

A Little Bit of Heaven, A Whole Lot of Hell

Tonight, Kelsianne and I headed to ReMax Atlanta Stadium to see the Atlanta Silverbacks take on the Charleston Battery in a pro soccer game. I don't think I have been that excited about something in a very long time. We had MapQuested the directions and everything; we were good to go!....

...until we realized how much the MapQuest directions sucked...

According to Mapquest, the drive from Canton to Suwanee should have taken no more than 55 minutes if we drove the speed limit.

Well, we left the house at about 6:10. Wanna make a guess what time we got to the game, which by the way started at 7:55...?

....9:07....

We got lost, went the wrong way, took the wrong turns, and set a world record in U-Turns taken on one trip, which now is 811.

We did however make it there during halftime and we got to see the entire second half!

When we walked up to the stadium, we asked some people where we could buy our tickets. A lady said follow me, so we did. She seemed like she knew what she was talking about. Apparently, she knew some people that worked there. She walked to the front gate, said some words to a bald guy, and then walked in the stadium. She motioned for us to follow, so we did. She then said, "There you go! Let's just say you are my guests for tonight".

We got in for free, and sat on the second row!! The players were right there, the field was right there, the game was right there.....

.....heaven....

Then we had to use our sucky diretions to try to lead us back home. We left the stadium at 10.....

....and got home right at midnight....

A vast improvement from the trip there....

If you are ever in the Atlanta area, you HAVE to check out a Silverbacks game!!

A First

A strange thing happened to me today.

Maddi and I were waiting in a line of traffic for the light to change, when we looked a few cars ahead of us. A little kid was hanging out of his F-350 staring and waving at me. I was like,"um....hey....". Then he starts doing the thing with your arm where you get truckers to honk their horn. There was a semi in front of me, so I thought he was telling him to do it. Nope, I was wrong.

So i gave him a little honk....

He was like,"YES!", and ducked back in the truck.

That has never happened to me before.

Side note: I went to one of those Japanese places where they cook your food right in front of you. My cook was the funniest cook in the entire world. He kept giggling to himself and saying, "...oh.....I'M DRUNK!". He probably was.

Tonight, I'm going to a pro soccer game. For those of you who know me, soccer just about defines my life at this moment. Maybe not a good thing, but I'm being honest. I'm so excited!! Go Silverbacks!!

I''m An Owl

A Kennesaw State University Owl....

I went to orientation and registered for my classes today. I'm excited now that I know what to expect....

....but I'm more excited about this....

Today, my dad was talking to one of the KSU Housing reps, and my dad asked about my status on the Dorm waiting list. They informed my dad that they took me off the waiting list on April 26th. That day, they called me at 5 p.m. to tell me that they had a room open. Nobody answered, so they just straight up took my off the waiting list. My dad got a little frustrated and repeated what he said and asked him if that sounded right. They knew that wasn't fair, so the rep went and got his manager/leader/boss/whatever. My dad explained the story to the manager, and the manager agreed that that wasn't fair....

....so they gave me a dorm!! University Village baby!!

It's a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom dorm with a fully furnished living room and kitchen. I can't wait!

I also got my class schedule today.

My classes are: Social Issues: Perspectives in Anthropology, English Composition 1101, Social Issues: Perspectives in Geography, KSU 1101(an informational class about college in general), and Mathematical Modeling 1101.

I'm excited.....

but I'm still pissed that they don't have a football team or a soccer team....

The Sports World

Out of all my blogs that I have wrote, I surprisingly haven't written a blog about sports yet...

....until today.

Many interesting things are occurring in the sports world:

1. Barry Bonds's chase for the record. Most people hate him, but I kinda like him. I think people need to give him a break. Don't hate Bonds because his steroids worked better than everyone else's. Why don't people boo Jason Giambi and Sammy Sosa at every chance? I do wish he would hurry up and break the stupid record.

2.The NL Central Race. Through the first two months of the baseball season, the Cubs were TERRIBLE. Now, they are within a game of first place. The feel good Milwaukee Brewers are falling fast, and my boys at the Friendly Confines need to take advantage fast.

3.Kevin Garnett was traded today. It was a big deal in two different ways: People never stay at their teams these days. They move from team to team looking for quick success. Garnett had been with Minnesota all 12 years of his career until today. Also, the Celtics are now a threat in the incredibly terrible Eastern Conference. Do I think they could win a title this year? No. They have the big three (Pierce, Allen, and Garnett), but after these three, they have NOBODY. The Pistons and the Heat are way too deep for the Celtics to be able to hang with them.

4.Freddy Adu, midfielder for Real Salt Lake of the MLS, was transferred to Benfica, a club in Portugal. Now, I know this isn't a big deal to anybody else, but Freddy Adu is the face of U.S. Soccer for years to come. Hopefully now that he has transferred to the Portuguese SuperLiga, he will continue to grow in skill and be productive for the U.S. National team.

5.Two other milestones could possibly be broken tonight. A-Rod could enter the 500 Home Run Club tonight. I really like A-Rod, and he will be the fastest person to 500 HR, so I really hope he keeps hitting them. That way, he can eventually surpass Bonds, because A-Rod isn't surrounded with controversy like Bonds. The other milestone is Tom Glavine winning his 300th game. I hope he does it tonight, because he is pitching against the Brewers, and I hate the Brewers. Go Cubs!

6.The EPL(English Premier League) is soon to start up. This is the most exciting league in sports in the entire world. I can't freaking wait.

7.I just realized that Kennesaw State University, the school I am going to, doesn't have a football team. They also don't have a soccer team, but I have been aware of that. I think I may try to start a soccer team. Not a football team though.

Wow...that was a long blog.

Twins are awesome

A Weekend of Jam

No, not the fruity spread you put on bread.

The kind when you rock out at concerts. That kind of jam.

OK, so that was a stupid way to start off a blog.....

Well, on Friday night I headed down to the New Daisy to see The Format. Three other bands opened up for them. 2 of them weren't that good, but Steel Train was absolutely unbelievable!!!

Today, I headed down to Autozone Park. We only saw a few minutes of the Redbirds game, but only because of the post game concert: Hawk Nelson.

If you don't believe Hawk Nelson is one of the greatest bands, then shuuunnnn the non believer.

We were so close at Hawk Nelson, Ashlin high fived the lead singer.....while he was on stage playing!

On a different note, my Mom was in a car wreck in Nashville on her way to her hotel from the airport. The taxi van she was in is basically totaled. She is fine, just really beat up. I hope she is feeling better now!!

Well, time to head to bed. Gotta watch the children tomorrow.

My Weekend

A couple things that have happened to me this weekend...

1. I was at church getting something for work, and VBS was going on. I heard one of our staff members say that another staff member was "getting wet for jesus". I didn't hear the part where she was saying that he was in a dunk tank. It was still very funny.

2. David Beckham makes his debut, and ESPN brings out the "Beckham cam": a camera that doesn't move off of David Beckham. No matter what, it's always on him. Is he really that special?

3. My dad's house got sold. I think he said he has to be out by the 17th. It will be a crazy time at this house with me moving out, and now my dad moving out as well.

4. I saw "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry". It was hilarious. There was one part of the movie where I was actually crying from laughing so hard.

5. I watched David Jacks' "Lip Gloss" video. If you haven't seen it, wow. Check it out.

So that's about it...

Peace up a town down

Putt-Putt

For those of you out there who think it would be fun to drive a go-kart all day long...

you are quite wrong...

On our field trip to Putt-Putt today, we realized that 40% of our kids were way too small to ride the go-karts by themselves. So I thought in my head that this will be cool...I'll get to drive as much as I want and never have to wait in line.

Dear Lord I was wrong...

Here we are, 5:30, and my freaking hands are still shaking from that steering wheel thing.

For the next 3 years of my life, I will never drive a go-kart...

I'm sorry about the pointlessness of this post.

Say What?

I found out today at work that a girl I work with speaks fluent Hebrew. She answered her phone at work, and was just like,"lchem miney achhheeemmm imunty adbip retiychheemmm".

We thought she maybe got a gummy bear stuck in her throat.

A Happy Time

If you haven't seen Transformers, this post may not make much sense....

If you have seen it, enjoy....

Today in class, one of my favorite students approached me with a question. He stated,"Hey Mr. Jesse, I saw Transformers this weekend. The only problem with it is I don't understand what a "happy time" is".

That caught me by surprise. I replied,"Uh I don't think that actually meant he was doing anything."

"They said he was doing something in his room. Some "M" word... What was the "M" word again?"

"I have no earthly idea what you are talking about. Please go play UNO."

This was by far one of the most awkward times of my life. Trying to tell a 10 year old the answers to these questions was not on my To-Do List today.

Just another day at work....

Again, if you haven't seen the movie......axe somebody about it!

Show Stopper

This is the next video out....

No effects, just straight up dancing fool...don't forget the matching White Station Lacrosse jerseys...

It was filmed from 4-5:30 in the morning in an empty parking lot in Millington...you might wanna watch it a few times to see everyone's dance moves...

Check it out!

Workin At The Car Wash

So, yesterday, after a long 2 hour stretch of plaing Guitar Hero 2, I decided that it was time to give the Mustang a bath.

I have given it a bath before, but this time I decided that I was going to do it really, really good. So I scrubbed, washed, wiped, sprayed, waxed, cleaned, and any other clean word you can think of to the car for a good hour and a half. That's a long time to sit there and wash a car....

....but this was all worth it.....

What A Day

Yesterday, I headed out to the Redbirds game with David Jacks and J.C. Thompson. This was the beginning of one of the longest days of all time.

The Redbirds lost 3-2 to the Albuquerque Isotopes, but it was still a good game. After the game, J.C. and I headed to our houses to get some stuff and then back to David's to stay there for the night. We arrived at about 10:30 at David's house. I left after that and went and got Taco Bell, because big boys gotta eat, know what I'm saying. We then proceeded to play Guitar Hero 2 on Xbox360.

Wow....that's one of the funnest things ever. We played GH2 until about 1 or so. After that we plugged in the Wii, and started on Mario Party 8. I have never played Mario Party 8, so I wasn't sure what to expect. That game was INCREDIBLE! If I may say so, I dominated J.C. and Jacks, and came home with the W. At about 4, we all put on matching White Station lacrosse jerseys, and headed out to film the next great music video. The video will be posted very soon.

After we got done filming the video in random places around Millington, we headed back to David's house to hang out some more. I edited the video, while David and J.C. played some more GH2 and Mario Party. I finished at about 6:30 this morning, and then I jumped into the Mario Party. David and I were on teams, and we dominated J.C. and Wario.

We then got ready to go to church. We got a new pastor this morning, but I don't remember much from all the dozing off I was doing. After church, I went out and bought GH2 on PS2. Freaking sweet....

and now here I am, after a 4 or 5 hour nap, back at the Woodards, playing GH2.

I have no life...

Saturday, July 7, 2007

I'm not sure if I should blog about this, because I'm sure every time I play Wii now I will get a lot of jokes....

Today I punched a hole in my wall because Wii Boxing pissed me off.

All this ducking, weaving, bobbing, swerving, leaning, tilting, diving, wobbling, jerking, and shaking that this person was doing was making me so mad. It's like who gets in a boxing ring and does that. It was also driving me crazy that my guy wouldn't throw a punch. It's not like I would have hit her; she was basically limboing while I was swinging at her. After limboing for 856 minutes while I'm wearing myself out, she cautiously stands up straight and starts nailing me.I'm too worn out to do anything so I'm bent over, gasping,"....hey stop....", in between breaths. When she finally finished me off, I stood up, pissed off as ever, turned around, and BAM!! Nailed the wall right beside my bed. The hole is only about 5 or 6 inches deep, because right before I hit it, I thought,"I can't punch a hole in my wall. Mom will be so mad at me...". I guess I didn't slow down enough, because I still hit it.

Mom's gonna be so mad....
A strange thing happened to me yesterday...

I picked up Karlie and Andrea Wade to go see the movie "License to Wed". Our movie started at 4:40, and we got there at when I thought it was 4:40. We bought our ticket and started to walk into our movie, when we realized that the movie we were walking into said "License to Wed 2:25". We just thought that Cineplanet had jacked up there movie times, so we went out and asked the guy in the theater what was going on. We said,"Hey, our movie starts at 4:40, and this movie isn't done yet. What's going on?" He gave us a really strange look, and responded with,".....um...it'll be done in a little bit..".

So we hung out in the lobby waiting for that movie to get done so ours could start. We played bowling, which Karlie beat me. I played a few games of basketball, which I am now the #3 high scorer, and I'm the only guy that's in the Top 10 two different times(I'm also #10). We went over to concessions, and I got some popcorn. While eating our popcorn, Karlie said,"It's 4:15".

How could that happen when we got there at 4:40?...and then I realized...

I suck at telling time. I rushed the girls and got them there an hour early because I thought it was an hour later than it was. I'm sorry to A Wade and Karlie. We made up the leftover time by going to Taco Bell.

"License to Wed" was awesome. It was super funny. Mandy Moore was also super hot.

What more could you ask for.....?

Midnight Cramps

I woke up in the middle of the night last night. It's quite a regular thing for me, so I wasn't "shocked". My "midnight wake-up" was going splendid when I saw on my clock that I still had three more hours to sleep before I had to wake up and go to work. I did the normal stretch where you straighten your legs out really tight.

Well, I must suck at this simple exercise, because I continued the strething while trying to curl up in a ball. How I thought I was going to do this I had no idea.

All of a sudden, every single muscle in my lower body cramped and strained and pulled in ways God didn't intend for them to do.

If I was to be completely honest, this happens to me all the time. I'm not sure why I don't get the message that you can't curl up and stretch at the same time.

Give me a break.....it was 3 in the morning.

Where's my sledgehammer??

As I begin most stories, a very funny thing happened to me today at work. Picture a young boy...about 4'6", maybe 80 pounds....cross-eyed as could be with a lisp...

Now picture him in itty bitty shorts with a matching t-shirt and old school sandals that consist of 54 velcro straps...

He was digging quite a hole with this stick while we were playing outside today. I leaned over to the young boy and asked,"Where you heading?". He angrily replies,"China!...but I can't get there unless I have my sledgehammer!" With this, he slings his arms in the air and yells at the surrounding public,"HEY!! WHERE'S MY FREAKING SLEDGEHAMMER!?!?"

All I could do was laugh, but then I told him to watch his mouth. No dropping the soft F-bombs in my class.

Anyways, the Woodards and I are about to head out to meet Stevie, get some food, and go to Navy Lake to check out the fireworks.

P.S. There is a video in the making as we speak...check back. It will be hilarious!

Tardiness, Skillet, and A Rooftop

Last night, Josh, David, and I headed downtown for some free concerts and fireworks. We almost didn't make it though.

If you have ever hung out with Josh Teal more than once, I guarantee you he was late to one of your "hang outs". Well, Josh was supposed to be at my mom's house at 3:20. That way, we could leave and get David, and be downtown in plenty of time to see Ingram Hill, who started at 4:40. Josh calls me at 3:25, and he hasn't even left his house yet. So I said that's cool, I'll just go get David and you can meet us at Los Reyes, which I had to explain to him how to get to Los Reyes. David and I roll up to Los Reyes at about 3:45.We were just listening to music and hanging out, waiting on Josh. Do you know what time Josh's dad pulled up?

4:20...and his excuse? "Man, I was ready and I came downstairs and was like Dad, let's go, and then he was like Hold on, and he just started painting.""Then my aunt came over all of a sudden and my dad stood there and talked to her forever and I just sat there."

Well, at least we made it for most of Ingram Hill. However, we did make it for all of Skillet. We were also in arm's reach of the stage when Skillet came out. They were probably the most pumped up band I have ever seen in concert. The energy was crazy when they came out and started playing. If you haven't seen them before, I highly recommend them!

After Skillet, we met up with Chris Vaughn...and some random girl named Lucy...., and headed to Jillian's to get something to eat. Afterwards, we went to the Peabody to get on the rooftop and watch the hugh fireworks show. It was awesome from on top of the Peabody.

To end this, I want to apologize to Karlie Woodard. I asked her to come to church with me today, and my alarm didn't wake me up. So here I am, writing a blog, and she's at church by herself. I'm very sorry Karlie! :-)

Orientation

Well, I went today to register for orientation at KSU, and the day I wanted was full already. The next time I wanted to go was full already, too.

So now I'm stuck with the only date left.

For all you people in Atlanta that read this, I will be in town August 1st-probably August 5th.

Sucks.....

....but I'm about to head downtown to check out some free concerts(Ingram Hill and Skillet), and then enjoy one of the biggest fireworks shows in the South right on the river. This should be awesome!!

Jack Bauer's Match

If you haven't seen Die Hard 4 yet, then you HAVE to get out and watch this movie. I went and picked up David Jacks, because he keeps wrecking his car, and we head out to Cineplanet to watch Die Hard. I was expecting a decent movie with cheap thrills....

.....not sure if I have ever been more wrong in my life.....

This movie kept coming from the very beginning. It was a little over 2 hours, and the entire two hours was absolutely psycho. Each action scene was absolutely amazing.

It was actually really funny, too.

Bruse Willis was invincible. I don't think I could count as high as how many times he escaped something, whether it be a person, a car, a jet, or any other viable threat.

Maybe one of the Top 20 movies I have ever seen, but definitely one of the Top 5 Action movies of all time.

Don't believe me? Check out to see what DJ had to say!

Nature Sucks

Today I went on the worst field trip of all time.

We were going to go to an art studio and a nature center, which still sounds gay, but it was cancelled on short notice by the art studio and nature center. So we ended up not going there, although it would have been better than "hanging in Shelby Forest" at the end of June. It's 90 something freakin degrees, I forgot to get the water coolers, and I have a group of 8 complaining 4th and 5th graders. They decided that it would be funner if we found a nature trail and went on that. I agreed, and we began walking in search of a nature trail.

We kept walking....

....and walking....

....and walking....

....until we realized that the dead end we had reached on this road signified that we wouldn't find a stupid nature trail. There were mile markers on the road that we were walking on, so I was aware that we had just walked about two and a half miles in the blazing heat to find a locked building and nobody in sight....

....so we turned around and walked back. We walked in all about five miles. I'll repeat...it was 94 degress today with a heat index about 100....We had one bottle of lukewarm water. HOWEVER, I did have 8 musty, sweaty, whiny 10 year olds who were swearing that they were going to die from heat exhaustion.

Gotta love my job.....:-/

I Saw Coobies Last Night

Before I begin, one word of wisdom....well actually five words....Don't Ride With David Jacks...

So last night, I went downtown with J.R., Todd, Mark, Stevie, Kaci B., and Jason. We hung out at BigFoot and got some food. We probably had the coolest waitress on the planet. I had my Cookie A La Mode(which is the greatest dessert on Earth), and then we headed out. Good thing we left when we did, because the owner was making us drinks....right J.R.?....

Then we were going to get on the roof of the Peabody Hotel, but for the first time, it was locked. So we hung out in some giant room on top of the hotel...

Next we headed to Beale Street to hang out and enjoy Memphis. Jason is a master photgrapher, and he was taking pictures like crazy. If you haven't seen his pictures, then you have to check them out. He worked his magic and we just chilled. We also got to check out some wasted soccer moms singing karaoke.

Can't beat that.

We ended the downtown venture as we always do....heading to the river. One word comes to mind when I think of the river.....that's right, you guessed it.

Mosquitoes.....

I had fun though. Kaci B. and I kinda hung out most of the time, cuz I guess we were the only "youngins" there.

Anyways, my mom's weiner wants to pee, so I'm gonna let it out.

"Do It To It"

Me, David and Josh singing do it to it...not that funny of a video but there will be more to come

Oh The Chilren

Perks Chocolate Custard is unbelievable...

Anyways....the past couple days at work have been interesting....I tried to remember the funny things I've heard and saw, but only a few stood out in my memory....liiiikkkkeeeee......

1. Picture this. A 4'6" 150 pounds...porky, jolly, loveable little girl covered in freckles with a funny hair cut....now picture her stuttering this with a nasty snarl on her face..."Man, I beat up so many people, I'm so bad, I fight so much that when I go to the camera section at Wal-Mart......I get free stuff...." and then look away with a snarl....I found it quite funny...

2.Picture the same girl. She said something to me that she found absolutely hilarious.....and then......a bubble started to form in her left nostril. A light green snot bubble. I guess she didn't notice it, but me and every other kid at the table did. It kept growing like a balloon being blown up until....POP!!! The she gasped and tried to act like nothing happened. She gave me a qucik little smile and an "AHeHe". I replied with "Yes Lindsay...the class saw your snot explosion on your face. Now go wipe it off."

3.New girl. About 4'9", but maybe 80 pounds. Stringy frizzy blondish white hair with a weird pink pair of glasses on. She gets in my face like a slobbering freaking werewolf and yelps," I EAT PAPER SO MUCH THAT WHEN MY GRANDMA GETS THE NEWSPAPER IN THE MORNINGS, I RUN OUT AND I SMMEEEEEEELLLLLLLL IIIITTTTTT!!!" All I could say was "Go sit down or I'm telling Mrs. Carrie".

So yeah....that's my job for ya.

Gotta get some stamps before the post office closes.

Peace nig.

Killer Weiner

I had a dream last night that my mom's weiner dog was trying to kill me and my dog, Ginger.

I woke up in the middle of the night from the dream to find that the weiner dog was in my bed, and he was biting my nipple.

Strange strange night....

Ultimate Finale

Today I watched 9 hours of the show the Ultimate Fighter....I finished it all off with a 3 hour Ultimate Finale that I just finished.

...wow....I'm a loser....

I took a break to go to the movies with Blake and Teal, but when I got back home, I watched three more hours of the stuff....

I just wanted to say that if someone wanted to fight me right now, regardless of how big or how small, I would fight them. Watching that show just makes me want to fight people, even though I have never been in a fight.

So if you want to fight anytime tonight, then you give me a call.

Punk.

Harrison Simonton

So I wake up this morning, and I find a text message on my phone from Kandice....

I open it to find that one of my friends that I graduated high school with, Harrison Simonton, died last night. I heard at first that it was a suicide, but I'm not sure now.

I honestly don't even know what to say right now.

I have known Harrison since at least the third grade. We used to be close in elementary school and middle school, but grew apart a little as we went into high school. We always would race each other, because we were the fastest kids in class.

I saw him the other day when I was driving around Brighton. He pulled into someone's house near me, and I thought about going over to talk to him, but I guess I thought I was too busy, so I just kept driving......wow.....

I'm A Virgin

So yeah, the title says it all.

I'm a virgin to the blogging world.....

....whatever you were thinking, that is true as well....

I don't really know what to write about right now, but I'm sure that as time moves on, I won't be a virgin blogger anymore, and my blogs might actually be worth reading.

I just wanted to share some advice with anyone who reads this....

Don't run through corn fields. It's just not worth it. Especially if you wear contacts, and especially if they just sprayed the field with pesticides....

Last night, Ashlin decided that it would be fun if we just took off running into some corn fields. She was right, because I had a blast. I could feel something in my eyes when I was in the fields, but I just disregarded it and kept going. When it got time to leave, I opened the door to get into my car and the overhead light turned on, as it normally does. However, when I looked into the rearview mirror this time, I didn't see me staring back. Actually, I didn't see anything. My eyes were slowly swelling. At this point in the swelling, I couldn't see much of anything. The light was making my eyes water to the point where it was difficult to see, and the giant swell around my eyes made me blind. I don't know if it was pesticide or not, but whatever it was, my eyes didn't like it.

The swelling has went down a lot, but at this point in time, I look like a down syndrome panda bear. People keep staring at me. At work today, someone turned around to tell me something, started stuttering, and then just started laughing.

Thanks Ashlin for your great idea. It was fun, but it was as good as J.R.'s, "WE CAN GO ICE SKATING IN OLIVE BRANCH" idea, when we rode an hour to find a roller rink full of 11 year olds dancing to Fergalicious. Thanks Jack, and thanks Ashlin.
